Web developer in Dunkirk

I design and build custom websites for businesses and independent founders in northern France. No repurposed template: every site is written for your activity, with a single point of contact from the first conversation to launch.

What I build

  • Showcase websites

The site that presents your business and prompts the call or the form. Built for local search, fast to load, readable on a phone as well as a wide screen.

  • Online stores

Catalogue, cart, secure payment and order tracking, with an admin interface simple enough that you manage your products without depending on me.

  • Custom web applications

Client portals, internal tools, dashboards, booking systems. When no off-the-shelf software matches how you actually work, we build exactly what you need.

  • Redesign and optimisation

Your site exists but it is slow, dated or invisible on Google. Technical audit, search recovery, progressive redesign without losing the rankings you already hold.

Method

How a project runs

  1. We talk

A conversation to understand your business, your customers and what the site should actually trigger. Free, no commitment, and often the most useful part.

  2. Quote and scope

You get a written scope, a price and a deadline. You know what you are buying before signing anything.

  3. Design, then build

Mockups approved before the first line of code. You follow progress on a preview URL at every stage.

  4. Launch and beyond

Deployment, indexing, and a walkthrough of the admin. You leave with a site you can keep alive yourself.

Where I work

Why work with a developer nearby

Working with someone based in Dunkirk changes two concrete things. We can meet: an hour around a table is worth ten email round-trips when scoping a project. And you have a reachable contact, in your timezone, who answers without a first-line support queue.

I work across Dunkirk and the whole coastline — Grande-Synthe, Gravelines, Bergues — as well as Calais, Saint-Omer and the Lille metropolitan area. For projects further afield, remote works perfectly well: it is the everyday reality of this job.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much does a website cost?
It depends entirely on scope: a few-page showcase site and an online store with stock management are not comparable. I always provide a written, itemised quote after our first conversation, free and without commitment.
How long does it take?
Expect three to six weeks for a showcase site, longer for a store or a custom application. The deadline is set in the quote, and I tell you as soon as anything threatens to shift it.
Will I be able to edit the site myself?
Yes. Every site ships with an admin interface for editing your text, images and content without touching code, and I walk you through it before launch.
Will my site be visible on Google?
Technical SEO is included by default: heading structure, structured data, load time, mobile rendering, sitemap. That is the necessary base. Ranking on competitive queries also takes sustained content work, which we discuss together.
Do you take over an existing site?
Yes, whether for a full redesign or to take over maintenance of a site someone else built. I start with an audit and tell you honestly what is worth keeping.

Got a website project?

Tell me about your business and what you expect from the site. I reply with a first opinion and, if the project is clear, a quote.
